This week I chose Gaudí series to take a closer look at it. These red body tiles, measure 60*31,6cm and are composed of three different designed pieces perfectly combined.
As the name suggests, these series are inspired by architect Gaudí’s works, so it is not surprising when you first see it to have the impression of being in front of his famous “Trencadís”, so used in most of his works. Personally, the first time I saw these collections, Parc Güell (Park Güell) came immediately to my mind. If you have never been there, I would recommend you to visit it if you spend some days in the city of Barcelona.
The tile consists of a rich variety of perfectly combined colors which include blue and soft yellow and soft red tones giving a very cheerful, funny and Mediterranean look to the piece. If we decide to use the Gaudí collection for decorating any space – such a cafeteria, a shop or a room at home – we may consider its richness of colors in order to combine them in the best possible way by using some sleek designed furniture. By doing this, we will make the tile to prevail in the room.
As you can see, it is a collection which offers many possibilities for decorating. It can be used as a trimming – placing the piece in a horizontal or vertical column –, as a wall tile tapestry – producing a patchwork effect that will stress a wall or any area of a room – and so many other options. So, if you can think of another ones, we will be very grateful if you decide to share with us.
